Fixed star Adhafera, Zeta Leonis, is a magnitude 3.33 star in the mane of the Lion, Leo Constellation. The traditional name Adhafera comes from the Arabic الضفيرة (aḍ-ḍafīrah) which means ‘curl of the hair’.
The technique of using fluid art to create a portrait is unique to this artist. She selects star names as titles for her artwork not just because her actual Turkish name, literally translated, means "star", but also because she creates from the inside out.
